Sneak Peek of our Fall Revamp

As I mentioned earlier this month, October marks my one-year anniversary with Model Behaviors. The cool thing about being part of Team MB is that I get to meet and interact with some freaking incredible women that I never would’ve met if it weren’t for Toni and Model Behaviors.

The only downside is we’re spread out all across the country, so unfortunately, weekly margarita nights are out.

But Tuesday, that all changed with our latest MB photo shoot! We’re gearing up for a Fall 2015 Revamp next month, so we gathered at Toni’s house—some of us even flew in from LA and Connecticut—to meet each other in person for the first time, play dress-up, and drink some of Toni’s addicting Beso Caliente Margaritas! Throughout the day, there was lots of beautiful bonding, heartfelt conversations, (potentially margarita-induced) tears, and tons of laughter.

Fall Wreath Craft Tutorial

One of my favorite things to do for the holidays is to decorate with homemade decorations. Each year, I like to add one item for each holiday so as not to overwhelm myself nor have my items look too similar to each other. I find it very therapeutic to work with my hands and get creative with textures and new pieces. It’s so representative of the point that I’m at in life. Creating a theme for each decoration helps me to bring all of these elements together.

For this fall wreath, my theme is The First Thanksgiving. I went to Michaels to collect the decorations for it, but any craft store will do. And remember, in the words of one of my favorite clients, “More is more and less is a bore.”

Model Behaviors Gets A New Fall Makeover!

It’s officially been a year and two months since Model Behaviors was launched! What a labor of love this whole process has been, and to be quite honest, I didn’t know if I had what it took to see it through at the time. My limiting beliefs consumed me. I had spent more than half of my life in the fashion industry, but I couldn’t help but wonder what’s next. I wanted a way to celebrate discovery and what it is to be a woman of today, and the only thing that would stop me from doing so would be me. It was finally time to weave together my passions and interests—no more compartmentalizing! It just so happened that I wasn’t alone; every woman that I spoke with said they also yearned for connectedness and balance in their lives.  And I knew that I wanted to create a loving space where our collective energies and interests would thrive in a transparent and meaningful way. Thus, Model Behaviors was born. After beginning this journey alone, I am proud to be bringing on fellow Behaviorists and passionate women. They are not only experts in their fields, but are truly dynamic individuals. And with fall here, it’s time to harvest this new vision. Today on Model Behaviors, take a look at our revamped site and some of the new faces to join on our team. More announcements are right around the corner.  Stay tuned…

Juice: Fall Loaf

I cannot even begin to tell you all how excited I am to share this recipe because growing up nothing ever went to waste. As you can imagine, wasting good juice-pulp can be torturous on me. Yes—it makes great compost, and one day in the near future, it’ll be awesome chicken feed, but there aren’t a lot of options out there for this organic goodness. I started racking my brain and combing through recipes that use a food processor, since a juicer’s pulp produces the same result. Plus, it’s economic and efficient: You save time in the kitchen, and get two meals for the price of one. Today on The Monday Menu, check out the juice that keeps on giving, and tune in next week for the Gluten-Free Turkey Loaf recipe that calls for the leftover pulp. Both recipes are sure to tantalize your taste buds!
