Even though I’m in my forties now, my life really began at thirty. That’s when I started living my life to the fullest and embracing the present moment. Before that, it was a blur and quite frankly, not the best time of my life. But we all go through our tough times in life, only to learn and grow from them. So here goes my story…

I was born in Omaha, Nebraska and lived there until I was eight years old, when my father’s job relocated us to Spain. I loved Spain! But when I was fifteen, we moved back to Oklahoma. It was a huge culture shock for me. I did not want to leave Spain. I lived in Oklahoma until I was twenty-three and then moved to Dallas on my own after visiting Texas a few times. I fell in love with the people, the culture, and the opportunities Dallas had to offer.

I won’t go into all the details of my past life—I’ll save that for my book!—but I used to lead an unhealthy, negative lifestyle. I was miserable Marzia hanging out with Negative Nelly and Debbie Downer. I was lost and so were they. We weren’t the type of people you’d want to hang with to be your best self. We all held each other back in life. Thankfully, over time my life changed and I got better.

What changed you may ask? Me. I learned self-love. I actually began living life in the moment, and now I’m a lover of life. I’ve created so many incredible memories, starting from the moment I embraced who I am, and now I can’t get enough out of life. I’ve achieved some of my wildest dreams, things I never thought could be possible.

There were a few things that helped me with this transition—eating the right foods, working out, my husband, and a focus on personal development. From the moment I got serious about eating right, I started feeling better and had more energy every day. Same with working out. As soon as I made it part of my daily routine, I started feeling stronger in my own body. My husband believed in me when I didn’t and recognized my passion for fitness before I did. Once the eating and the exercising happened, I was hooked and dove into the world of personal development. Nowadays, I feel like I can’t soak up enough books, movies, and podcasts when it comes to moving forward in life. They say education is the movement from dark to light. I have now seen the light and I want more light in my life.

After my life transformation, I set out to help other women. It was my mission. I feel like wherever you are in life, no matter how far your goal feels, you can change and be the best you. It takes time. Sometimes you need to find the right people to help hold your hand. But it can always be done.

So after all of that, I now design healthy lives for a living. I’m blessed to help women look and feel their best for life. Even though I’m a certified personal trainer, nutritionist, and life coach, I really feel like I get to help women, not only transform their bodies and nutrition habits, I get to help them design their new healthy lives going forward. When I help other women realize it’s just a mindset, their whole world transforms. I love watching my clients change and grow into the beautiful souls they were meant to be. It’s so rewarding!

They say you attract what you put out there. I believe I attracted Model Behaviors and Model Behaviors attracted me because we have the same mission—helping other human beings be their best self. What better place to be if you need someone to hold your hand and keep you accountable until you shine. I’m blessed to be a part of this movement with women lifting each other up and am proud to call myself a Behaviorist.

So far I’ve had a wonderful career in health and helping others. I can’t wait to see how I evolve and where this road will lead me.

Love and lunges,
Marzia
