VIDEO: What Laurie Loves Most about MB

One of the greatest personality traits Laurie Graham King possesses is her “yes” mentality. Sometimes it seems like all I have to say is, “Laurie, would you want to—” and she says yes before I even get the whole sentence out!

It’s amazing to have a friend like this and it’s amazing to be a teammate with someone like this. Because not only will she say yes, but once she says yes, she pours all of her resources into a project to ensure its success. She often calls herself the biggest cheerleader for her clients, but I think it goes further than her professional life. She brings this quality to each of her relationships and makes people feel like they can do anything, be anything, try anything.

With Model Behaviors, Laurie has been a stylist for our photo shoots and she’s emceed a few of our events. She’s a natural at both, and her warm, vibrant energy is always a great boost in any room, with any crowd.

We love having Laurie on Team MB, and we can’t wait to see what else this phenomenal woman will accomplish!

Wellness Wednesday: TOGETHERNESS | Model Behaviors

Wellness Wednesday: TOGETHERNESS

Our Word of the Month for November is TOGETHERNESS. We chose this before the election, not realizing how relevant it would be. We chose it because we’d just celebrated the success of Friscovania, a feat that took a huge effort from several people. It also required a huge amount of teamwork, something I’d never witnessed on this level before. We had to set aside all differences, all sense of ego, and put our energy to accomplishing a single task. It was one of the hardest, but also one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever been a part of, and I wanted to honor that sense of accomplishment and inspiration with our Word of the Month.

One thing we always strive for here at Model Behaviors is to be inclusive and welcoming of everyone and to listen to each person’s story with our full hearts. And that’s what we intend to continue doing as we move forward.

Watch today’s video to see what togetherness means to Holly.

Woman of the Month: A Day in the Life of Yvonne Crum | Model Behaviors

Woman of the Month: A Day in the Life of Yvonne Crum (Giveaway)

When you’re the “fundraising queen of Dallas,” your schedule is jam packed! Yvonne’s biggest event of the year is the Fashion Stars for a Cause gala to benefit the Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas. She’s already organizing for next year’s event, but you can usually see her bright, smiling face at countless events for several different organizations throughout the year.

Right now, her husband of forty-nine years is staying at a rehab center after a serious fall, so her schedule isn’t following its usual patterns. But that’s nothing new for any of our Women of the Month. Each day brings a new challenge, a new to-do list, and a new twist. Yvonne handles her day with grace and determination, somehow managing to stay on top of her volunteer and charity duties while also being a loving, supportive presences for her family.

Take a peek into a day in the life of Yvonne Crum and then enter our very special Fashion Stars giveaway at the bottom of this post!

Kathryn's Reflections of Gratitude on Veteran's Day | Model Behaviors

Kathryn’s Reflections of Gratitude on Veterans Day

Several years ago, my husband and I started a tradition of visiting Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery on our regular trips to San Diego. We found that this was a good way to put life into perspective and to honor the many lives sacrificed for our country. We enjoy so many freedoms, liberties, and rights, that others around the world do not, but it’s easy to be cynical and take them for granted. Walking around Fort Rosecrans, you find markers of those who served in wars past, but on recent trips, it’s been the newer grave markers that demand our attention.
