VIDEO: What Laurie Loves Most about MB

One of the greatest personality traits Laurie Graham King possesses is her “yes” mentality. Sometimes it seems like all I have to say is, “Laurie, would you want to—” and she says yes before I even get the whole sentence out!

It’s amazing to have a friend like this and it’s amazing to be a teammate with someone like this. Because not only will she say yes, but once she says yes, she pours all of her resources into a project to ensure its success. She often calls herself the biggest cheerleader for her clients, but I think it goes further than her professional life. She brings this quality to each of her relationships and makes people feel like they can do anything, be anything, try anything.

With Model Behaviors, Laurie has been a stylist for our photo shoots and she’s emceed a few of our events. She’s a natural at both, and her warm, vibrant energy is always a great boost in any room, with any crowd.

We love having Laurie on Team MB, and we can’t wait to see what else this phenomenal woman will accomplish!

The Mommy Makeover Contest: First Check-In

The moment has arrived! It’s time for our very first check-in with all of our Mommy Makeover participants. There have definitely been some incredible highs as well as some unforeseen lows, but our group of women is strong, and in the few short weeks of this contest so far, we’ve created a powerful support system to keep ourselves dedicated and on the path to a healthier, happier lifestyle!

Laurie’s Style Inspiration for the Model Behaviors Fall/Winter Revamp

There is nothing more gratifying than feeling comfortable and happy just truly being yourself. I love attending weddings as a guest because it’s such a direct reflection of who those people are as individuals and as a couple. Every ceremony is vastly different. Sometimes the theme is “country chic” serving BBQ on a ranch with daisies in mason jars listening to the DJ spin Zach Brown Band tunes. Or maybe it’s a sexy candlelit rooftop affair with Lucite bars and sweeping, downtown views being serenaded by a live performance from Sting. From traditional to rustic to contemporary, people express their personalities in so many ways. As a personal stylist, I make a living helping people create a signature style through the vehicle of fashion.

Fashion is one of the most powerful ways to express who we are. It illustrates how we feel about ourselves and how we want others to perceive us. Whether you care about using your image to your advantage or not, it still sends the world a message. Your image can say “I couldn’t care less about what you think” or “I am desperately seeking attention” or “I am confident in my own skin and a leader in my field” just to name a few. When I begin work with new clients, I ask them about their activities, lifestyle, hobbies, and goals. If they tell me they want a promotion within their profession, I then ask them if they think their personal style reflects that they are at the top of their game within their industry. If they tell me they want to attract the mate of their dreams, I ask them about the kind of person they want to attract and if they think their image is sending the right message to attract that kind of person.

MB Interview with Professional Stylist Laurie Graham

A couple weeks ago, I had the humongous honor of being selected as one of the 10 Most Influential Women in Dallas. At the center of the sold-out event was the fabulous Laurie Graham. But that’s not surprising! Laurie has taken Dallas by storm the minute she relocated here from Los Angeles over two years ago. Her bright personality and warm soul stood out to me the moment that I met her, and I knew one day she’d have to be a part of Model Behaviors!
