2015 Fashion Stars for a Cause Gala

Suicide is not an easy topic to discuss, but that’s precisely the reason that I feel so passionate about my work with the Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas. On March 20, we will hold our second annual Fashion Stars for a Cause Gala to help support the SCC, and I’d like to encourage all my friends and readers here to get involved in any way that you can. If that means attending the event, if that means buying a shirt, or if that means posting about it on social media, it will be a valuable contribution.

REMINDER: Buy a Raffle Ticket, Win a Cabo San Lucas Getaway and Support Suicide Prevention

As one of this year’s Fashion Stars for a Cause, I have committed to raising awareness and funds for the Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas (SCC). As you may already know, suicide is a growing epidemic. In America alone, suicide claims the lives of 30,000 people each year, and according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are more people dying from suicide each year than from car accidents.  What’s even more troubling is that more than 800,000 people attempt suicide each year, and the actual number is likely much higher because attempts are underreported.

Thank You for the Flowers Roberto Cavalli!

It’s not every day that one of the top designers in the world sends a girl flowers for being photographed wearing one of his creations.  Last month, I attended the Fashion Stars for a Cause Event at the Diamond Doctor to raise awareness about suicide prevention for the Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas (SCC), and since I was named one of the Fashion Stars, I chose my wardrobe wisely!  As if Cavalli’s taste in design isn’t great enough, I shared a photo of the gorgeous arrangement he sent on Instagram, and many of you wanted to see the famed, gold leather jacket.  So, here is the photo taken by Danny Campbell on behalf of Beverly Drive Magazine.  Now back to the cause, if you’re interested in helping the SCC, you can contact me to purchase raffle tickets and possibly win a trip to Cabo San Lucas!  For more information, click here or email me at toni@modelbehaviors.com.  Stay Chic!
