DIY Ranch Design Series: Open-Concept Dining Room

Can you believe it’s already Part IV of my DIY Ranch Design Series? I just cannot get enough of renovation and design, and though it’s not a career that I ever wanted to solely pursue, it has been a wonderful creative outlet. For me, this has become an avenue to understand another side of self.

2015 Fashion Stars for a Cause Gala

Suicide is not an easy topic to discuss, but that’s precisely the reason that I feel so passionate about my work with the Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas. On March 20, we will hold our second annual Fashion Stars for a Cause Gala to help support the SCC, and I’d like to encourage all my friends and readers here to get involved in any way that you can. If that means attending the event, if that means buying a shirt, or if that means posting about it on social media, it will be a valuable contribution.

REMINDER: Buy a Raffle Ticket, Win a Cabo San Lucas Getaway and Support Suicide Prevention

As one of this year’s Fashion Stars for a Cause, I have committed to raising awareness and funds for the Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas (SCC). As you may already know, suicide is a growing epidemic. In America alone, suicide claims the lives of 30,000 people each year, and according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are more people dying from suicide each year than from car accidents.  What’s even more troubling is that more than 800,000 people attempt suicide each year, and the actual number is likely much higher because attempts are underreported.
