What Model Behaviors Is Most Looking Forward to in 2015

It’s time to say goodbye to 2014. We hope it has been a great year for everyone, but if not, there’s always 2015 to look forward to. Today, let’s take the opportunity to make optimistic plans for this New Year. It’s shiny and unblemished, and anything is possible.

Let’s start by embracing the part of ourselves that says, “Yes! I will rise to the challenge! I will grow. I will become a better version of myself. I still have a lot of wonderful things to accomplish in my life.”

In this spirit, we’d each like to share a little bit about the journey ahead and what we’re looking forward to the most in 2015.

Toni: This is a year devoted to balance. I have some lofty goals ahead, and exciting big news to reveal soon that I’m thrilled to share. And finally, I’ll be finishing my master’s degree in May and applying for a doctoral program to start in 2016. But above all, I want my life to be filled with love and growth. I hope to continue with meditation and journaling for my mind and soul, and yoga and running for optimal health. These are the key for me in achieving my goals and keeping my sanity. Can’t wait for 2015!

Kathryn: A new year already? Where does the time go? For 2015, I want to commit to pray more. As a mom, time seems especially fleeting, but there is always intermittent time to raise others up to the Almighty. I also plan to set time aside each day to read a passage from the Bible. I have totally slid on that this last year and miss that richness that comes with it. Finally, I think I will try a half marathon. Since living in the mountains is excellent for training, I plan to sign up for something to challenge myself. I love that feeling! And I haven’t had it in awhile since raising toddlers is my day to day.

Hannah: This past year, the year of the horse in Chinese astrology, was a year of hard work, much change and growth, and laying the foundation for the future. I was married this past year, traveled much and explored new frontiers in work. 2015 is the year of the sheep, and I hope to fulfill what the zodiac sets forth, that it will be a year of “yin” female energy, harmony, tranquility, coexistence, and peace. My goals are to let these feelings permeate my relationships from work to personal life as I settle into home, work, and friendships.

Barbara: I can’t wait for 2015! You know that feeling when you know everything is about to change? That’s how I feel for 2015. My goals are to keep growing spiritually by continuing with Kundalini Yoga with my guru Taj, who has changed my life, and continuing with meditations and mantras. I want to keep being the best I can be, the best version of myself, full of love and joy. My website for the Malas launched this month so I want to keep this new company growing in 2015. I want to keep living life to the fullest. I just know it is going to be an amazing year!

Bulaong: 2015 is a year dedicated to the continual uplifting of myself and the people around me. I am hoping to continue to develop my voice and to carve out space for others to share theirs. I am looking forward to some new career opportunities and possibly heading back to school for degree number three. I am focusing on balance in my life while continuing to progress the world, and also progressing myself―mind, body, and spirit. I am looking forward to a year of life, love, joy, struggle, reflection, resistance, and change!

Courtney: I have two big goals. My first is to finish revisions on the novel I’ve been writing for the last four and a half years. Last year, I finally finished the first draft, so this is the year for revisions and maybe, just maybe sending it out to agents. The second goal is to pay off my credit card debt. It’s not enormous, but it does weigh on me. I’m going to work really hard to kick its butt this year!

What about you? What are you looking forward to in 2015? It can be anything, great or small, as long as it brings excitement and happiness to your heart!
