FRISCOVANIA: The Hair and Makeup Team

You simply CANNOT have a Halloween haunted fashion show without scary good hair and makeup. Kelly loved Halloween for this very reason. Every year she got so excited, letting her imagination go to weird, unexplored places in order to create breathtaking, shocking, out-of-this world looks for herself, for her son, and for her friends on this most beloved holiday.

Here are just a couple of my favorite Halloween looks she created for me over the years.

For Friscovania, we’ve amassed some of Kelly’s colleagues and friends who happen to be some of the best hair and makeup artists in the biz. They’re going to put together a show that would make our friend proud and so very, very happy.

FRISCOVANIA: Introducing the Designers

Friscovania is made up of many epic pieces, and one of those is the haunted fashion show! As you saw in Wednesday’s post where we introduced the models, stylists, and backstage team, there are literally dozens of people dedicating their time and energy in memory of Kelly Whaley and in support of City House and this very important cause.

When the Frights of the Round Table first dreamed up this event, we knew we wanted the fashion show to really blow people away, and the biggest part of that would be working alongside the best of the best designers with edgy, daring designs paired with dramatic hair and makeup looks.

That’s why the show itself will feature four of North Texas’s most famed designers who are ready to wow you with their latest creations, plus a special guest performance. At this very moment, an experienced team of experts are hard at work putting together each look—clothing, hair, and makeup—for over forty models who will walk the runway to the glam rock sounds of KISS.

We’re pleased to present each of the designers who’ll be part of the haunted fashion of Friscovania!

FRISCOVANIA: The Haunted Fashion Show

We cannot contain our excitement! Friscovania is less than a month away, and so many folks are hard at work behind the scenes to make this Halloween spectacular come to life. One of the biggest parts of this event is the haunted fashion show where you’ll see some of the most cutting-edge runway looks. What’s so impressive is that over forty models will be walking in the show, and the event has a fantastic backstage crew, all of whom have volunteered their time and talents.

The Dallas fashion community is a close-knit bunch, and we all took the news of Kelly passing extremely hard. What I keep witnessing over and over is all the amazing things we can accomplish when we are motivated by love.

With that in mind, I’d like to take a moment to thank each and every one of the models, their agencies, the stylists, and the backstage team for what they’ll be contributing to this event. There’s no way an event of this scale could happen without their dedication, and it means the world to everyone involved to work with such a wonderful group of people.
