In the picture above, you see Gunner Whaley, Kelly Whaley’s son. Kelly is the woman whose life inspired this event, and after she passed unexpectedly from breast cancer, Gunner was left behind.
Through Gunner’s loss, we were inspired to create Friscovania on behalf of City House, a local nonprofit whose mission is to help homeless, abused, or neglected youth of Collin County. We will have a full recap of the event on Halloween, and we can’t wait to share photos and videos. Hopefully Friscovania will continue in the years to come in order to help more children like Gunner.

There is so much fun stuff lined up for you guys, I can barely handle it! Our décor team has woven together some incredible scenery, so the moment you walk through the gates, you’ll be transported to a land of witches, hobgoblins, and ghouls. There’s plenty more going on behind the scenes in these final days leading up to our main event. One of the things we can finally spill the beans on is our celebrity photo booth. While you’re at Friscovania, one area you’ll definitely want to check out is the Kim Dawson Frights! Camera! Action! where you can get your picture taken with some local celebrities! We’ll have our amazing photography team out there, led by Simon and Ann Lopez, to make sure you look like the glamor queen (or king) that you are!
